Sheffield's World Cup Bid
I'm working on Sheffield's 2018 world cup bid, Sheffield has put together a bid team and are in the process of presenting information to the FA. One thing that we are encouraging people to do is to go on to the England 2018 bid site and register their support for their home city.
Sheffield is competing against 14 other cities for the right to host world cup games and the FA take into consideration how many votes Sheffield gets on its site before making a final decision about which cities are going to host the world cup. If Sheffield were to be successful then Oakwell would be used as a training venue and and for a team base camp.
I'm sure you would all love to see world cup football being played in South Yorkshire
